Picture this scary situation in which an intruder follows you into your house and forces you to disarm your alarm system.

While hopefully this never happens to you, it is always good to be prepared just in case! A duress code is a 4 digit “false” code that disarms your system and sends a HELP signal to our monitoring station to dispatch police immediately.

After entering your duress code, the system appears to disarm normally, so the intruder will think they are in the clear. In the meantime, the monitoring station contacts the local authorities for dispatch without calling you to verify, potentially tipping off the intruder.
