Where We Work
Howland Alarm serves Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania from our office in Cortland. Our technicians cover about an hour’s drive in every direction, measured in drive time, not miles. Most of our work falls in three Ohio counties and the Pennsylvania county next door.
Four Counties, One Local Team
If you can name your county, you already know whether we come to you. These four are home.
Home base. Our office is in Cortland, and Warren is the closest major city. Service calls here are the quickest to schedule.
A close second to Trumbull County in our work. Youngstown and Boardman anchor it, with Canfield and Poland close behind.
Youngstown Service PageHomes and businesses throughout the county, from the Mahoning line south. Same crews, same response.
The Pennsylvania side of our territory sits right next to Trumbull County. We treat it the same way we treat Warren.
We also take work in Ashtabula, Geauga, and Portage counties. Most of our work is in the four counties above, so those jobs are scheduled around the core area.
Drive Time, Not Miles
Twenty miles can be twenty minutes on the highway or forty-five on back roads. We measure our territory by how long the truck takes to reach you, because that is what affects your service.
Outside the core counties we still take work. We just tell you up front what the distance means for scheduling. Our territory runs about an hour’s drive from the office and usually stops short of the Cleveland and Pittsburgh suburbs. We go further than an hour, usually for an existing customer.
The Same Four Services In Every County
What we install in Youngstown, we install in Sharon. Every system comes with 24-hour monitoring through redundant national monitoring stations and a local operations team for everything else.
Home and business alarms, app control, no long-term contracts.
Local vs. national companiesCommercial design, installation, inspection, and monitoring. Many smaller companies in the Valley do not do fire. We have since 1969.
